Programme Outline

Pukana Youth Pathways is a government-funded programme supported by He Poutama Rangatahi, Ministry of Social Development (MSD). With their support, we’re able to deliver hands-on, accredited training that equips young people with the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

Through this programme, participants can access real opportunities — from education and certifications to job placements and ongoing career growth. Together with MSD, we’re creating pathways into meaningful employment and building stronger, more resilient communities.

Who Can Join?

Pukana Youth Pathways is open to young people aged 15–24 who are currently not in employment, education, or training. The programme is especially focused on supporting those living in Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt, Porirua, and Wellington City (and surrounding suburbs). Our Goals

We aim to provide tailored support that boosts confidence, builds essential skills, and connects young people to real opportunities. Our focus is on strengthening whānau and community ties, creating pathways to sustainable employment, and ensuring everyone is ready to step into work, further study, or meaningful participation in society.

What to Expect

This programme is ideal for recent school leavers or jobseekers who need direction and guidance to reach their goals. You’ll work one-on-one with a mentor to set goals, make an action plan, develop job-ready skills, and access fully funded training opportunities. From career planning to job placement and in-work support, we’re with you every step of the way.
